I had the great honor of working with Rachel and Mike on their special day. Rachel was so fun to meet with and talk to about her wedding (among other things). She had everything very organized which made it so easy to do my job! The theme of Rachel’s wedding was “Family”, and I adored her ideas that incorporated her family theme.
The ceremony lead by Rabbi samuel stahl was beautiful under the Hoopa that Rachel’s mom made for her own wedding. After many years it was still in beautiful condition and one day, Rachel’s daughter will marry under it.

She had a vintage cake topper passed down through her family on top of the beautiful cake made by Sweet Treets Bakery. She made her own German Cheese cake, grooms cake from an old family recipe. On her cake table was pictures of past wedding and cake cuttings from both families. As part of the centerpieces on each table, she included old family pictures. And her favor was a CD that she made that included pictures that were on the table as well as other family pictures from both families. She created the cover adding an engagement picture of her and Mike. The CD of pictures is one of the most creative favors I have seen.
Their photographer Cari Wible was very engaged with Rachel and Mike’s desires for their wedding photography. She got all the shots they wanted and also suggested other great shots. She orchestrated a very moving “first look” and captured the moment from all sides!
After all the delicious BBQ meal prepared by Pok-e-joes, DJ Sean from Greenbelt DJ got the party started. The whole family danced the night away as Sean kept the party going. Sean was the perfect addition to the reception playing everything Rachel and Mike wanted.
The wedding adorned with family tradition and fall colors was elegant and ran very smooth thanks to Rachel’s excellent choice of vendors (Crystal Occasions, Sweet Treets Bakery, Park Crest Floral, Texas Ritas, Pok-e-Joes, Greenbelt DJ and Cari Wible). Crystal Occasions is so happy to have worked with Rachel, Mike and both of their families and wish all of them the very best in the years of fun they have ahead of them.
