Here To Help!- Always There To Help Out Brides!

We are super happy to have Here To Help help us with our Crystal Occasions Ultimate Wedding Giveaway!  Here to Help is a fantastic wedding and event planning company with lots of experience in the Austin area.  We thought it would be great to have some help from another planner so we asked Michelle Bromley CWEP, owner of Here To Help to design the cocktail hour for our giveaway. I have been in the event industry in Austin, Texas for fifteen years. I have worked for venues, catering companies, a charter cruise ship and planning companies.  I joined the Austin Chapter of the networking organization known as ISES, International Special Events Society, in 2004 and was inducted to the Board of Directors in 2005 (through 2010).  I won the Spirit of ISES award from my local chapter in 2006 AND 2009.  My team won the Texas Star Award for our local fundraiser known as CulinART: A Fantasy of the Healing Arts in 2007.  Another planning team that I was Chair of won the ISES Spirit of Excellence Award in Special Projects for our 2010 CulinART fundraiser.   In return for my service to this organization, my career as a full-blown wedding planner has taken off a lot quicker than I feel it would have without ISES.   I believe my biggest talents lie in the overall planning and execution of an event because I do have such a well-rounded experience in the industry.  I was fortunate enough to be able to take over Allison’s Events in July of 2010 and now own my own planning business.  Finally! 

In 2010, I also began instructing a wedding planning certification class at Austin Community College through Lovegevity Wedding Planning Institute and earned the special designation Certified Professional Wedding and Event Planner.  I truly enjoy teaching because I learn just as much from my students as they learn from me.  It keeps me up on the trends and tools necessary to be continuously effective at what I do.

My favorite element of an event is design and décor.  When I am setting up for a wedding, I call it the “calm before the storm” because it is so quiet.  I get to put everything together and watch as guests and clients are delighted when they see the decorated space for the first time.  It is very fulfilling to me to have a part in making one of the most special days of someone’s life something they will remember forever.

Michael & Belinda Morris are the husband-wife, harp-viola duet Angelic Strings.  They began performing at weddings in Central Texas after their own wedding in April of 2003.  It is very much a part of their nature to lend their expertise and personable service to each event.  They will not only strive to bring beautiful music to the event, they will also make the whole music process fun and your special day flow smoothly.

McMurtrie Farms- The Perfect Place For Your Wedding!

We are so thrilled to once again have McMurtrie Farms donate their venue for our Crystal Occasions Ultimate Wedding Giveaway.  It’s really two venues in one, so we are super excited to be able to design such a fab wedding!  McMurtrie Farms is a super versatile place to have your wedding.  They have a huge meadows area complete with an iron arbor set in front of the creek and small waterfall on one side, and a big limestone staircase on the other.  It’s the perfect space for larger parties because it can hold up to 300 people. Plus McMurtrie Farms can provide you with tents in case of rain. An extra perk from the venue is that it stays mosquito free thanks to the birds

They also have the Pecan Pavillion and  Gazebo on the other side of the property.  The Pecan Pavillion can be used to hold your reception or even your ceremony. It is an outdoor venue but the sides of the pavilion can be brought down incase it gets a little chilly or rainy.   The Pecan Pavilion is a 3,000sq.ft. Pavilion with stone columns, hill country pine timberframe roof, and eight chandaliers to light your soiree.  The adjacent dance floor, gazebo, and fountain provide a lovely backdrop for pictures and your ceremony.  Rental of the Pecan Pavilion includes The Ramble Creek Lodge (the 2,000 sq.ft. ranch-style home on site) for your Bridal Suite, Groom’s Den, and Accommodations for 10 overnight!  Full ammenities makes a weekend package very comfortable and affordable! There’s so much you can do with just these two spaces alone!
